Channel catfish and blue catfish fishing continue to be the most popular activities on this lake. Fish exceeding 10 pounds are commonly reported. Muskellunge anglers have had much success in recent years and good fishing should continue in 2018. About three of every ten muskellunge will exceed 36 inches long. Muskies are most active between the western parking lot and the dam, especially near points and cover. Anglers may combine fishing opportunities as largemouth bass and muskellunge will strike the same lures. Largemouth bass are abundant, and three of every ten bass will exceed 15 inches long. Crappie are also abundant, and although there are a few crappie over 15 inches long in the lake, most are less than 10 inches long. Water clarity varies on this 160 acre lake and is dependent on recent rainfall.
